Hi, I don't know if anyone else has given much thought to which designers they would prefer to focus on but i just thought i would post some ideas about one of my favourites.
I think out of the choices, Henry Holland has the young and quirky feel to his designs. I've noticed alot of stripes and retro influenced pieces in his previous collections, and seeing the images from the debenhams tour reminded me of this.
Also he is from Lancashire, which i think is really good to use a local designer aswell.
His shows during LFW are always super busy with young celebrities pictured in his designs.
I have also noticed that he is often in tabloids with the most popular celebrities of the moment.
I think all these are good points to focus on when discussing about our designers!

Debenhams Designer Collections
On the day we went to Debenhams, the personal shopper came to tell us a few things about the look and feel of each of the collections that we have available for our fashion show. I remember seeing a lot of stripes, which is great for the 2nd years because they need to do a 60s themed fashion shoot, which can also be our chosen theme, but not necessarily. Here are the designers that we are going to promote in the fashion show:
- Henry Holland
- Red Herring
- Jasper Conran
- Julian McDonald
- Betty Jackson
- Principles Ben de Lici
- Ozzi Clarke
Going to Debenhams
A few days ago we went to Debenhams to see the location of the event, check out the designer collections and learn a few more things about our brief. The location will be the Debenhams restaurant upstairs. I have taken some pictures of it, so everyone can have a look at the colours of the walls and floors and the lighting, but we will all need to go there to gain a better understanding of the floor plan.
